A fading trace of the lost St. Vincent's Hospital vanishes for good
Last August, I spotted this fading relic of the shuttered St. Vincent’s Hospital at a Greenwich Village subway station. Those faded words, above, directed straphangers up the stairs toward the hospital, which closed in 2010 after serving the community for 161 years.
