Tiny Pizza Hut with 'Classic' look coming to NYC
You can dine next week at your own 'Personal Pan Pizza Hut' in Long Island City
I’ve long hoped that by some miracle of real estate and bold corporate marketing, a proper, red-roofed Pizza Hut Classic restaurant could open in New York City.
Sure, New York has a fleet of hole-in-the-wall Pizza Huts, doing battle with Gotham’s revered slice joints, but for two days next week, what may well be the Tiniest Pizza Hut in the World is coming to Queens, and it has that iconic red roof.
They’re calling it the Personal Pan Pizza Hut, and you can actually dine inside this tiny structure. It’s all part of The Hut’s efforts to market its Personal Pan Pizzas, and what better way than your own personal Pizza Hut restaurant.
“Rooted in the timeless love for the Personal Pan Pizza, the Personal Pan Pizza Hut brings a fresh, modern twist to personalized dining experiences. While nodding to fan-favorite Pizza Hut designs, color palettes and décor, guests can now be the star of their own personal (pan) pizza journey at the Personal Pan Pizza Hut. Each person that makes a reservation will be able to customize their own Personal Pan Pizza – with choice from the new bold toppings and sauces now available at participating restaurants.”
Reservations go live Thursday, Oct. 17 at noon. Sign up here.
PIX11 reports the Tiny Hut will be at 50th Avenue / Center Boulevard in Long Island City from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 22 and noon to 7 p.m. Oct. 23.
It just so happens I plan to be on the road next week taking photos for my upcoming book — the reason I’ve been scarce around here of late — but if you do manage to go, please drop me a line with a photo and your thoughts about the experience.
And if only the real thing will do, explore my exclusive list of over 70 Pizza Hut Classics around the country below.
If we do not get a reservation, where are the closest "huts" to satisfy my personal pan pizza urge?
I feel like I absolutely need to go to this
