Perchance, did you cover Burma Shave signs? I love those signs. Generally 5 signs spaced 100 feet apart. These signs were all over the America. 1927 to 1963. With a few exceptions.
Adore the Burma Shave campaign! So innovative. I do refer to them in one of the chapters when discussing sources of inspiration for the Wall Drug billboards. I recall passing a "re-creation" of the signs in Hackberry, Arizona, some years ago.
