Mr. ZIP long ago got the pink slip, but you can still find him in action if you know where to look.
I thought you might like to know that I featured this post in my Saturday Evening Post column this week:

Wow, what a treat! I enjoy your column and am a proud Saturday Evening Post subscriber. Thanks Bob!
This is awesome! I just read this to a friend and his 10-year-old son and then shared it. I love how you describe Mr. ZIP as a “jauntily drawn postman.” 😊
Aww, I love this!!! And thank you ... Mr. Zip is a dashing fella!
A T shirt in the making for me to buy and wear.
Postal Service sells one! https://store.usps.com/store/product/stamp-gifts/mr-zip-t-shirt-blue-P_843283
Quite the interesting history behind the character. I believe he first appeared in advertisements for a bank (Chase Manhattan?)
Exactly! Briefly used and then reintroduced by the post office, so he's a hair over 60! :)
