I finally saw my very-first 10-gallon Arby's hat--two of them, actually--while driving along US-202 in the northern suburbs of Wilmington a few weeks ago, and because of this newsletter I made a point of going back to take some proper photos of them!
Thank you for sharing these timeless treasures! As a fan of roadside diners, motels and neon, it warms my heart to wake up to them in my inbox.
Keep up the great photos!
Means so much to hear that Monica! And more to come soon! Thank you!
Thank you for the wonderful job you do bringing “Forgotten Americana” to the very small screen. We deeply apologize your efforts!!
Thank you so much!!
We've been longtime social media admirers of the Rye Motor Inn and their sister spot, the Great Island Inn. A good opportunity for someone!
Truly is! Hoping the right set of hands ends up with the keys!
as usual, what a delight to read!
Thank you! Appreciate reading that!
The Arby's sign in Minneapolis has been gone since 2018.
I believe the signs in Granite City are recreations.
Thanks, Debra! Not sure how I got tripped up by that old Arby's link. Stricken from the record! Too much on my plate (errr laptop.)

Yeah! LOVE to hear that! Those twin hats are wonderful, and I am so glad to learn they are still standing proud! Glad you went back for the pics!
Finding you on IG ignited my desire to shoot neon and ghost signs. New hobby for an old news shooter.
Amazing and so great to hear that! Thank you Jim! Are you sharing pics on your Insta?
From time to time. I see more than I shoot--seems like we are always in a hurry. IG @oldfirechief
I hear that!
