Two seminary friends I witnessed a rather bold dive-by mooning while enjoying our cones outside Ted Drewes on a humid St. Louis evening. Indelible memories, those.
I am disappointed to see that Whitestone Lanes is closing. I went there for several birthday parties as a kid and I went there as an adult where we would go bowling and then the Arcade that was in the same shopping center. I think all of the bowling alleys from my Queens youth will now be gone, such as Hollywood Lanes in Forest Hills and the other that was either down Queens Blvd.
Very sad about this too. Great memories. There’s still a nice Bowlero-branded one at 69th and 34th ... sort of amazed it’s still there considering real estate in New York. But I’ll take it!
Brown's Bakery in OKC must have been located somewhere else originally. The building was built in 1948 for Clyde's Grocery Store and was designed by Joseph Boaz.

I feel like I was there! Great memories we connect with these places, which explains why we love them so!

Agreed on the earlier location!
I believe the gas station turned visitor center is in Edwardsville, Illinois (not Missouri)
Thank you, fixed it!
I haven't been to the Fireplace in so long, but I used to enjoy going there with my friends. Sad to see it go.
Same, I loved it ... very special. Had a very memorable meal there in 2019 and it left quite an impression.
Very sad to see the Fireplace becoming history. I heard it will be a Chick-fil-A.
Have heard the same ... I held out hope it would be revived, And so it goes ...
